The midwife having just delivered the baby she is holding. is showing the newborn to the mother on the bed.  The umbilical cord is still attached to the baby, and the baby is sort of rough looking as most babies are after they travel down the birth canal and are pushed forcefully from the uterus by the mother's contractions of uterus. The woman on labor and delivery bed is not a real woman. The nurse is modeled after a photo that someone took of me about 20 yrs ago, when I worked in the Operating Room.

I am adding here as a batch some of the sketches and paintings that I Gloria Poole have created trying to learn to draw babies and children for prolife images. I am Registered Nurse, worked in Operating Room for yrs [yrs ago] and also in ER where I delivered a baby because the medical doctor didn't show up in time.  I write prolife blogs often trying to influence the world to produce living babies [instead of dead ones ].  This is one of those blogs.
Also, other blogs that I created, own and I write on the prolife cause are:
I also put art I create on many blogs of mine. I am not listing them for brevity but they are well-known as my art I create and you might can find them by googling my name as "Gloria Poole" or "gloriapoole" or "gloria0817" or by any of the ways I have ever written it on web.
Copyright:  I Gloria Poole, RN artist own all rights to the art I have created or do create. I do not have agents representing me and never had agents representing me. I own the rights unless I sign a bill of sale for a particular item I created before a notary public.
I Gloria Poole am white, single, Christian, woman, and the biological mother of two grown daughters who are Jennifer and Leigh.  I have been married and divorced twice and each time resumed my maiden surname of Poole by court order and of course kept my Christian name of Gloria which means glory to GOD.
I Gloria Poole am also known as Gloria on art I sign that I created/ sketched/ drew/ painted and on web as : gloriapoole; gloria0817; gpoole817; gloria.poole; gloria-poole; gloria_poole; gloriapoole1749; gloriapoole.RN; Gloria Poole,RN; and other variations of my real born with name of Gloria Poole.
Also, for the record: I do NOT have a Facebook account nor a Pinterest account.  I am very aware that some one has tried to hijack my name and that they signed up for Facebook with emails that belong to me. I think Facebook sends notices to whoever their users send messages too, and that could explain some of the pages of Facebook messages I get. However, I am NOT on Facebook. So any one there on Facebook using either my name or art I create is in violation of copyright laws of original art I created.  That is also true of Pinterest--I do not have a Pinterest account and never signed up for either Facebook or Pinterest. FYI.
